The Citadel
The Citadel sits at the top of a hill overlooking the town of Fairhaven. It's the home of Madoc's family, his father Owen, King of the East Islands, his mother, Queen Branna, his brothers Elwyn and Gareth, and his sister, Carys.
The town and especially the Citadel gleam in the sun because of glass embedded in the walls. The Citadel has gardens and stables. The inside is beautifully furnished with couches, chairs and tables in the public and entertainment rooms. The tubs and faucets in the bathrooms fascinate Nissa, since the Manor doesn't have such amenities. She finds the Citadel the most beautiful place she's ever been.
Madoc has created a communication system at the Citadel that Gareth uses to contact the royal guards he commands, even those at the bottom of the hill below the Citadel.
