Nissa's search for her missing magic teacher led her and her traveling companions to the town of Meecham. The old mining town was teaming with people searching for The Crimson Orb, but all they were interested in was finding Madoc.

In a visit to the Emporium, the general store in Meecham, they were introduced to Meecham cookies, which became their favorite dessert.
